Part 5: Message #132

Message #132 was given on February 4, 1989. At this point I'm noticing a bit of a pattern, where sometimes the official English translation is slightly different than the original Portuguese. I'm not sure if that's purposeful, or just a translator putting their own personal touch.  Below I've used the translated Portuguese.

But at present, its* Adversary has succeeded, through his subtle and deceitful works, in bringing much darkness into its interior. (bb #168, 1979-01-28)
[* the Church's]
Satan, with his surreptitious and deceptive action, has now managed to cast much darkness within My Church.
Satan has first of all bedimmed the understanding and the thinking of many of my children, seducing them through vainglory and pride, and through them he has darkened the Church. (bb#168, 1979-01-28)
He has darkened the intelligence and the thinking of many of My children, leading them to pride and arrogance, and through these, he has darkened the Church of Christ.
Bishops of the holy Church of God, come back to a full, humble and total unity with the Pope, because today you are running the risk of a most serious schism, and in this how great is your responsibility before God. (bb #352, 1987-05-17). Bishops and priests of God's Holy Church, return to full humility and total unity with the Pope, for you are now in danger of a very grave schism

The last prediction in the Blue Book is important. It is made on May 17, 1987. In the 1970s, conservative Bishop Marcel Lefebvre rejected the growing modernism within the Church and formed his own traditionalist community. In June 1987, he announced his wishes to ordain his own Bishops, under threat of excommunication. In 1988, he does so and is excommunicated (though it was later retracted). This prediction of a schism makes more sense in 1987 than it does in 1989, the year of Pedro Regis' message.
